Carley Shimkus was born and raised in Long Valley, New Jersey, United States of America. She is the daughter of Zulma and Edward Shimkus. Her father is a chemist and her mother was a flight attendant from Puerto Rico. Her father is of Lithuanian descent. She did her schooling from West Morris Central High School in Chester, New Jersey, United States of America. She graduated high school in 2005. After that she went to get her major in broadcast journalism from Quinnipiac University. Then she interned at Fox News in Washington D.C during her senior year. On August 8th 2015, Carley married long time boyfriend Peter Buchignani. They maintain a good relationship even in their tough work routine. She works in New York while Peter does so in Chicago. During her senior year at college, Carley interned at Fox News in Washington D.C. After completion of her school, she also worked as a news producer at Fox News. In 2012, she was promoted to the post of Associate Producer with the Fox Business Network working for Imus in the Morning. After much years of experience and learning she started appearing on air in the business. She serves as the headlines reporter for Fox & Friends and Fox & Friends First. Her co-host on Fox Nation is Rob Schmitt.
