She’s the only daughter of the famous Hollywood actress, Julia Roberts and her cinematographer husband, Daniel Moder. Hazel had appeared in the television series, ‘All Access’ in the episode ‘20 Cutest Celebrity Babies’ along with her twin brother, Finn in 2016. She also appeared in her mother’s 2016 romantic comedy, ‘Mother’s Day’ in a small role with her brother. It is still a mystery whether she wants to follow into her mother’s footsteps and be a professional actor as she has not taken any serious acting assignments yet.

Hazel was born in Los Angeles, California to Julia Roberts and Daniel Moder. Her father is a cinematographer while her mother is a renowned Hollywood actress. She has a fraternal twins brother, Phinnaeus Walter Moder a.k.a. Finn and a younger brother named Henry Daniel Moder. She studies in Our Lady of Mercy School in Los Angeles. She is a sports enthusiast and actively participates in various sports events of her school.
Being a practitioner of Hinduism and a devotee of late Indian spiritual guru, Neem Karoli Baba, her mother took her children to Swami Daram Dev’s Ashram Hari Mandir in Pataudi, Haryana during the shooting of her film ‘Eat Pray Love’ in India where the children were given me named after Hindu Gods. Hazel was named after Goddess Laxmi.

Hazel Moder has spent a lot of time with her mother Julia on various movie sets since the tender age of 4. She joined acting classes at the age of 7. She started acting professionally when she did a cameo appearance in the series, ‘All Access’ along with her twin brother in 2006. She appeared in the Garry Marshall directed romantic-drama movie, ‘Mother’s Day’ which featured her as a cartwheel kid in 2016. The movie also featured her mother Julia along with Jennifer Aniston.
